This is nothing more than a natural extension of political correctness. The movement started out as a means of using social pressure to silence conservative voices. Astonishingly, it has now evolved into a legal weapon. As such, it endangers anyone who doesn’t agree with the current leftist ideology. Now, we can add in the potential of spending hard time for criminal action to the social stigma of becoming a pariah to the vocal left.

Amazingly, hate speech only applies to those on the political right. Those on the left can say anything they want about conservatives, Christians, and Republicans. The court of public opinion considers their barbed statements not only okay but even worthy of praise. However, what happens when those of us who are not part of the leftist clique say anything that isn’t in agreement with them? What happens when we don’t support any of the many causes which they hold to so dearly? The left instantly brands our position as “hate speech.” They then proceed to publically humiliate the offenders to the best of their considerable ability.

This whole concept and the laws created to support it stand in stark contrast to the First Amendment of the Constitution. This amendment guarantees our rights to freedom of speech amongst other, related rights. By its very nature, freedom of speech also includes the freedom to offend. This freedom is something that has existed since long before the founding fathers wrote the First Amendment.

Proponents of hate speech laws are therefore claiming that their imagined “right” to not be offended supersedes the right of freedom of speech that the Constitution guarantees. Nevertheless, this is a concept that has no basis in law. Yet, there are a great number of them in power between politics, academia, the news media, and government bureaucracies. So many, in fact, that they are able to push this bogus “legal principle” and turn it into law.

This has recently reached a new height, with the city of Minneapolis creating a hate speech hotline. Citizens can use this hotline to report any suspected acts of hate speech to law enforcement. While officially targeting any “harassing behaviors motivated by prejudice,” leftist political activists have made clear over and over again exactly what this term means. What is especially revealing is that a city official indicated that the hotline was established in response to the election of President Trump and is targeting his supporters.

Velma Korbel, the director of the Minneapolis Department of Civil Rights, made the following statement:

“Since the general election, many of us have experienced, witnessed firsthand or heard of actions of: racism, xenophobia, sexism and bigotry directed at people here and in cities across the United States. In no uncertain terms, hate-motivated speech and actions have no place in Minneapolis nor will they be tolerated.”

Interestingly enough, the city’s Department of Civil Rights has further revealed on their website the reality of the situation. The government will only enforce hate crimes committed against certain “protected classes.” In other words, this is clearly a leftist weapon which liberals intend to use against conservatives, Christians, Republicans, and possibly even Jews.

The press release announcing the new hotline came complete with a rather broad definition of discrimination. It includes any “action or decision that treats a person or a group negatively for reasons such as their race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, ethnicity, gender or gender identity.” Even so, discrimination, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. As a result, you can be sure that many reports will surface of people committing various hate crimes.

Of course, every member of the city council but one, as well as the mayor, are members of the Democrat-Farmer-Labor Party. This is a socially liberal political party affiliated with the U.S. Democratic Party. The sole member who is not part of this party is a member of the Green Party. This group is also closely affiliated with the Democrats.

Notwithstanding, the scary part of this new hotline isn’t that people can and will use it to report conservatives for offending a gay or transgender person. It’s that Muslims can and will use it. While still a minority in the Minneapolis population, many vocal Muslims in the United States have made it clear that their intent is to take over the country and enslave or kill the Christian population.

Remember Charlie Hebdo, the French publication which various individuals attacked because they ran cartoons of Muhammad? How about the shooting in Garland, Texas, where they tried to do the same thing? Islam is an all-controlling religion which doesn’t tolerate anyone saying anything against them. You cannot say anything against their prophet, their god, or their religion. Such speech is sufficient reason for them to kill those who say it.

Creating a mechanism to prosecute those who speak out against Islam falls right into the hands of Muslim activists. They want to see Sharia law replace the Constitution, even if it wasn’t originally conceived for that purpose. Still, it’s hard to believe that at least some of the council members didn’t have that in mind. This is especially true when considering how strongly those on the left support the current Muslim invasion of Europe and the United States.

Muslim activists have already made it clear that they will use this mechanism as a tool to persecute Christians and Jews. They’ve done just that in Europe and in Canada. Moreover, they will continue to do it wherever they can manage to pass laws which make it illegal for anyone to speak out against their religion. This is one of the first and most important steps along the road to Islamic dominance. The CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood have outlined this in detail.

If we allow this to stand, you can be sure that it will spread to other Democratic strongholds. By weaponizing hate speech, the left will further divide the country and give Muslims a stronger foothold in the government. We now have Muslims running for office and winning positions of authority in state and federal legislative bodies. Consequently, we can expect to see an expansion of these laws. Before long, these back-door methods of control may eliminate freedom of speech entirely.

It is time for Christians to stand up for our rights. Churches are closing at an alarming rate (6,000 to 10,000 per year) and the Muslim population is steadily growing. Soon, we could very well find that the land of the free and the home of the brave is becoming another Muslim stronghold. This isn’t alarmism or fearmongering, but merely an expression of the stated intentions of organizations like CAIR. We need to wake up and take back our land while it is still ours to take back.

Ultimately, the biggest weapon we have is prayer. Christians must begin to pray seriously for the next great awakening in the United States. Nonetheless, we must also begin to pray earnestly for those in office and running for office. We need to pray that Godly men and women will populate our various state legislatures and our national Congress. We need to seek God’s will rather than worship a progressive-liberal agenda that doesn’t even acknowledge God to begin with.

The report stated that Democratic New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio decided over the weekend to change the way the city is counting deaths.

“In the heat of battle, our primary focus has been on saving lives,” de Blasio press secretary Freddi Goldstein told the Times.“As soon as the issue was raised, the mayor immediately moved to release the data.”
