Did you know of this that is made from salt and water? It’s the invention of Jay Whitacre, who won the prestigious Lemelson-MIT Prize of $500,000. The battery was named Aqueous Hybrid Ion (AHI) and was developed with the use of non-toxic materials, such as salt water and carbon. The battery is efficinet when it comes in contact with solar and wind energy and it is already manufactured by Whitacre’s company, Aquion Energy. This innovative renawable energy resource, can change the way we interact with technology in our everyday lives and makes this type of energy affordable to anyone.
